Comment Lunacy

I've switched from HaloScan to Blogger comments. Sorry I had to delete all the previous comments - I still have them and hold them close to my heart. Go ahead and break the new Blogger thing in, though.

I don't know how to get rid of that little string of code next to the comments. It's not in my template, and the comment code looks OK to me. I turned trackback off. That didn't work. Any ideas are welcome. When I have a few more minutes, I'll check out Blogger help.

  1. Obviously you are far savvier than I regarding this newfangled internet stuff.

Pretty much everyone is! So very sad.

  2. Check your home email - not sure I have the answer, but I might have a temporary fix...

  3. OK, got rid of that target=self thingy...thanks, BASM. Although, I swear that text wasn't there when I searched the template earlier.

  4. Ugh. I hate blogger and it's "word verification" crap.

  5. Anon - I used to hate it too, until I started getting spam in my comments. That sucked worse. Bad enough to get it in the inbox.

Make it a game - think of a word or phrase you can make out of it.

Lemons and lemonade & all that.

  6. Yeah, I'm not crazy about the word verification stuff - esp when I can't tell what the heck they want me to type. HaloScan was good about that - no spam and no verification needed. BUT...I lose the comments after a couple months. I didn't like that, since I've got an especially witty bunch of commenters.

  7. Oh, and blogger e-mails me the comments. Haloscan might have added that feature too, I don't know. But I never had the comments mailed to me.
