Boring to the Newborn King

My V-Day present to G was to have our stacks of mini-dv tapes from the last 4 years transferred to DVD. I could have done it myself, but the boys would have been in college by the time I was finished.

So we have 8 DVDs filled with hours upon hours of video. In all those hours, there are some gems. I realize 'tis not the season for Christmas songs, but I have to share this one. This is A's version of "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" from 2006. He was 4. The very first second or so is cut off - he starts out singing "Hark the angels herald sing...." I sort-of lied to him after hearing him sing in the car and told him, "Oh, you sing that song SO well. We HAVE to get that on tape."

Eventually I'll put subtitles on it (translating from A-ese to English), but I think he sings pretty clearly. Just be sure to listen for "join the friends, and friends in style."

It's less than 30 seconds. Humor me.

I'll humor you any day of the week. Your kids are precious. Needless to say I laughed my head off and enjoyed that so much. My T. had ear trouble and I remember her asking about the line, "Mary laid him on the hay." She asked, "why did she lay Him on His head?"

Love that...
Gotta be careful though - I still hear about the "Twinkle, twinkle Little Star" verse that I made up, sang forever and my kids finally learned wasn't a real verse when they were in high school.
I would have told them - it just never came up!

I kind of the like the "Follies wild" part! A always was an innovator. We still sing "Snow is Slippery" from time to time.

PS. I hope these posts don't come back to bite him when he starts asking girls out.

How many times do we need to humor you by watching this? Because I'm up to three.

And, of course, I'm all about joining friends in style during the holidays. :)

Yeah, I want to know H too. I think we can find him at the follies.

These posts will only come back to bite him if I need them to.

I don't even know how many times I've watched it. It always makes me laugh because he's so serious about it.
